Corrective Shower Remodel & Waterproofing in Vancouver, WA

This Vancouver, WA shower remodel started as a corrective rebuild after we discovered an improper installation: tile set directly over drywall without adequate waterproofing. Over time, that setup allowed moisture intrusion and raised mold concerns. We performed a full tear-out of the existing wall and floor tile, demolished compromised materials, and prepared the space for a long-term, code-appropriate solution.

Next, we installed an approved shower substrate and a proper waterproofing system designed specifically for wet areas. Once the shower assembly was built to current industry standards for durability and water resistance, we reinstalled clean 3×6 white wall tile and added decorative mosaic accents for a finished look that feels bright and timeless.

To keep the project seamless, we carefully removed the existing glass enclosure at the beginning and reinstalled it after the tile work was complete. The result is a shower that not only looks great, but is built for reliable performance—tight, protected, and ready for years of everyday use.
